Today, on the 16th of February, Samia Hersi, the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Queen's Park and Maida Vale, had the privilege of visiting Kensal Rise Library.

There, she engaged with families from various corners of the community who were making the most of the library's diverse range of amenities.

Delving into its rich history, Samia Hersi was particularly fascinated to discover that the library had been inaugurated by the renowned American author, Mark Twain.

She also gained insight into the remarkable campaign that saved the library from closure.

Presently, the library is under the stewardship of the Friends of Kensal Rise Library charity, whose exceptional efforts have ensured its continued operation, serving as a vital hub for numerous members of the community.
